Recent Dumbarton Oaks Funded Field Season

Posted on May 29, 2013
We recently spent two weeks in Burgundy, France conducting research courtesy of a Dumbarton Oaks Project grant (many thanks to Dumbarton Oaks for providing support).  While there, we visited the Macon archive and took over 4,000 pictures of documents, including a new historic map which will be added to our GIS. We also documented several historic mill sites and interviewed their owners.  More details of the fieldwork will be posted soon on the Dumbarton Oaks website.
