Greetings, and welcome to the website for the Burgundy Historical Landscapes Working Group.  We are a group of researchers who are conducting a long-term, interdisciplinary landscape history research program in the Burgundy region of France.
We seek to integrate multiple disciplines and approaches to better understand the complexity of landscape change over time and use historical ecology and resilience theory to guide our work. We work within anthropology, archaeology, history, GIS and spatial analysis, ethnography and geology approaches, among other fields.
